Giants add six-year MLB veteran pitcher who's played for Brewers, Astros
The San Francisco Giants have added a pitching reinforcement for the final month of the regular season. According to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy, right-hander Joel Kuhnel was claimed off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers by the Giants. Milwaukee designated Kuhnel for assignment earlier this week, and San Francisco will be the 31-year-old's third organization of the season. Kuhnel has made 35 combined appearances with the Athletics and Brewers, posting a 4.84 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 35.1 innings. "Teams are seemingly betting on the stuff and the minor league numbers.
