Garrett Crochet's potential Red Sox return date revealed
Garrett Crochet isn't close to a return to the mound for the Boston Red Sox. Crochet hasn't pitched since April. He landed on the injured list with inflammation in his left shoulder after making six starts. Since then, Crochet has suffered multiple setbacks in his recovery. In June, Boston's ace told Chris Cotillo of MassLive that he wouldn't return before the All-Star break. It may be a little while longer for the two-time All-Star, who finished second in last year's American League Cy Young Award voting. Crochet targeting postseason return Crochet recently told Tim Healey of The Boston Globe that he's targeting the postseason as his return to Boston's rotation. “We’re trying to kind of, I suppose, reverse engineer it,” Crochet told Healey about his recovery plan. “I’m a goal-driven guy.
