The NBA can change a lot in three seasons. Consider that back in the 2023-24 season, the Celtics looked like they were at the start of a dynasty built around the duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. The Luka Doncic-led Mavericks were worthy challengers in the Finals. Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal led an interesting Suns team in the West, and the Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo had promising returns in their first year together with the Bucks. On the other end of the spectrum, the Pistons were the worst team in basketball, losing an NBA-record 28 straight games.
