French PM aims for modest deficit reduction in 2027 with target of 4.9%

Le Monde has learned that Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu's draft budget is based on a 'realistic' deficit reduction, without any major reforms. The goal of bringing the deficit under 3% by 2029 now seems even more unlikely.
