French firefighters battle the blaze with local residents through the night

It is the night that is most gruelling for firefighters, that is when the Canadair aircraft cannot fly, due to low visibility. Everything happens on the ground, as close as possible to the blaze, sometimes with the help of local residents who brave the fire with meagre resources.
