France's Constitutional Council dispels questions about assisted-dying law and strengthens 'conscience clauses'

The Council supported patients' 'personal freedom' to access a lethal substance at their request, if approved by a doctor. It granted private and nonprofit institutions the right to refuse aid-in-dying procedures on their premises.
