France launches new investigation into surgeon convicted of mass child sex abuse

Prosecutors are gathering evidence on some 50 new alleged sexual assault and rape allegations against former surgeon Joël Le Scouarnec, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for abusing 299 patients over several decades last year.
