Four arrested for robbing motorist after seeking lift on Ring Road

The Mysuru district police have arrested four persons for allegedly robbing a motorist after a man and a woman sought a lift from him on the Outer Ring Road here.According to the police, complainant Vinay, a resident of J.P. Nagar in Mysuru city, was returning home in his car after attending a function in Pandavapura at around 10 p.m. on August 2. When he reached near the Manipal Hospital junction on the Mysuru-Bengaluru highway, a man and a woman waved him down and sought a lift to the Sathagalli traffic signal, a few kilometres away on the Outer Ring Road, claiming that they had to reach the place urgently.Vinay agreed to give them a lift.
