Former drug peddler arrested for illegal firearms trade in Malkajgiri, pistols and ammunition seized

Sumathi inspecting the seized weapons and ammunition. | Photo Credit: By Arrangement A 27-year-old labourer, who turned to illegal firearms trade in a bid to make quick money, was arrested with two 9 mm pistols, a double-barrel country-made gun and 19 live rounds by the Malkajgiri Zone Special Operations Team (SOT) and Bollaram police on Saturday.The accused, Parbhans Kumar, a native of Gagipur district in Uttar Pradesh, was intercepted near Sadhana Mandir in Bollaram at around 5.50 a.m. on Saturday based on a tip off.
