Former Cowboys QB Joe Milton clears waivers in free agency twist
Joe Milton’s next team is still a question mark. Tthe quarterback cleared waivers on Tuesday, one day after the Cowboys let him go in a move to make room for running back Emari Demercado. Milton, who spent last season with Dallas, was back in camp this year and in trade discussions before Sunday’s cut day, ESPN reported Monday. Instead, he clears waivers and is free to sign with any of the 32 NFL teams. Yahoo Sports added that the Cowboys and head coach Brian Schottenheimer are “absolutely” interested in bringing Milton back now that they have a chance to re-sign him. Milton could always rejoin Dallas’ practice squad if not given a better opportunity.
