But the FCDO has shared a warning as they said "one shot can change everything".‌In a post on X, the Foreign Office said: "Methanol can be toxic even in small amounts. As little as a single shot (30ml) can be fatal. If a hangover feels worse than it should, don’t wait for it to 'get better'. Seek urgent medical help."‌A video was shared as the FCDO spoke to several people who had lost their loved ones in heartbreaking circumstances after drinking alcohol abroad.
