District Civil Supplies Officer K. Srinivas said that while rice is given free of cost, ₹7 per kg is charged for wheat. The department has allotted 59,602.822 metric tonnes (MT) of rice and 7,279.513 MTs of wheat for distribution among 8,43,607 FSC (ration) card holders in the district, through 653 Fair Price Shops (FPS). People were urged to collect the food grains early to avoid being caught in a rush at the end of the month. Deadlin
