Floods submerge parts of Zamboanga del Sur town, trigger evacuation

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur – Heavy rains brought by a localized thunderstorm triggered flooding in several barangays in Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur Monday evening, forcing residents to evacuate as the river overflowed into low-lying communities. Jay Immanuel Locson, Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office head, said the most affected areas were barangays Gawil,
