Fisherfolk gather for FishCoRe Salimbayan in La Union

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in the Ilocos region brought together fisherfolk, youth, government and nongovernment organizations, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable fisheries when it launched the 2026 FishCoRe Salimbayan on Thursday, Aug. 20. FishCoRe, or the Philippine Fisheries and Coastal Resiliency Project, is a
