First picture of man who died entering the canal at Notting Hill Carnival

Police officers had attempted to stop Karnell Kelly, 25, on Monday during the final day of the iconic celebration. He was chased and entered the Grand Union Canal at Meanwhile Gardens. Canal boat owners and police battled to save him after dragging him from the water. Officers then gave him emergency first aid at the scene before he was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
