July 06, 2026 12:26 PM ET Mars Petcare U.S., Inc. issued a voluntary recall of PEDIGREE® dog food that potentially has sharp metal or plastic pieces inside, alleging that they attempted to have it destroyed but it was sold anyway. The firm issued the recall for PEDIGREE Can High Protein Chopped Chicken & Duck Flavor 13.2oz with the LOT Codes 613C3KKCFC and 613C1KKCFC on July 2, according to a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announcement.
