Fire service attends Belfast docks blaze as ‘quantity of cars on fire’

Emergency services have attended the scene of a large blaze at Belfast harbour where “a quantity of cars are on fire”.The fire broke out at Clearway Disposals scrap metal recycling facility just after midday.It comes following a similar incident in May, which saw firefighters in attendance for more than 24 hours.On Wednesday, the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service said: “We are currently in attendance at an incident on East Twin Road, Shipyard, Belfast, where a quantity of cars are on fire. “The initial call was received at 12.14pm.”Firefighters tackled a massive fire at Clearway recycling in Belfast Harbour at the end of May.
