FIR against four persons for dumping garbage at cleared blackspot in Banaswadi

The police have registered an FIR against four persons for allegedly dumping garbage at a blackspot that had already been cleared and beautified by the Bengaluru North City Corporation.According to the complaint filed by Shwetha Charanraj, Assistant General Manager, Sarvajnanagar Division, Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML), the incident occurred on July 16 at the garbage blackspot located on 7th Main Road, Banaswadi, Ward No. 27, Sarvajnanagar Division.The blackspot had recently been cleared and beautified as part of the corporation’s drive to eliminate garbage blackspots. Following the restoration of the site, awareness programmes were conducted among residents to discourage indiscriminate dumping of waste, and ward marshals were deployed to monitor the area and take action
