Finland Restricts Maritime and Air Traffic in Gulf of Finland Over Drone Threat

On July 18, Finland temporarily suspended maritime and air traffic in the eastern Gulf of Finland due to potential drone threats. The Finnish Defense Forces stated that the restrictions, which lasted from 5:45 a.m. to approximately 9:00 a.m. local time, were a preventative measure to ensure civilian safety and prepare for possible drone interceptions. No drones crossed into Finnish territory.
