Field 3D printers could sustain high-tempo drone ops

Minister of National Defense Wellington Koo (顧立雄) underscored the importance of using 3D printing equipment for the sustainment of drones on the battlefield as part of Taiwan’s efforts to strengthen combat resilience.Koo, accompanied by Deputy Minister of National Defense Hsu Szu-chien (徐斯儉), on Tuesday visited a drone unit garrisoned in Taoyuan to highlight the equipment as units conducted drills as part of the annual Han Kuang Exercise.The equipment is capable of producing non-electronic components, including airframes and weapons bays.
