Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov says Russia has carried out more than 12,000 attacks on the Sumy region since the beginning of the year, killing 122 civilians and injuring over 1,200. After a visit to Sumy, he announced new decisions to strengthen local air defense and protect critical infrastructure and frontline communities from escalating drone and guided bomb strikes.
