Family Register Certificates a backdoor route to aid Rohingya, Bangladeshi illegal voters: BJP

Ramchander Rao alleged that the Congress government’s decision to issue ‘Family Register Certificates’ was a “backdoor attempt to legitimise Rohingya and Bangladeshi vote banks”.He accused the Revanth Reddy government of continuing its policy of “appeasement” and claimed that it was acting at the behest of the AIMIM as it had publicly demanded issuance of such certificates to prevent names from being deleted during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.The decision raised serious constitutional, legal, electoral and national security concerns.
