Fake currency racket unearthed in Ramanagara, seven held
The Ijoor police of Bengaluru south district unearthed the fake currency racket on Sunday. | Photo Credit: File photo The Ijoor police of Bengaluru south district on Sunday unearthed a fake currency racket operating from an under-construction house in Shantilal Layout and arrested seven persons posessing material used for preparing counterfeit ₹200 and ₹500 notes.The arrested have been identified as house owner Santosh of Gejjepura in Magadi taluk, Sampath, Govindaraj, Renukaraj, Rajesh, Shivaraj, and Satish. The police seized paper, chemical, cloth, glass sheets, tables, and other material allegedly used to prepare the counterfeit notes.According to Bengaluru South SP Rohan Jagadish, the racket involved locals and those from outside the state.
