Ex-Tigers, Rays infielder named candidate for Astros GM by MLB insider
The Houston Astros are in a transition period in their front office. The AL West club announced on Monday the firing of general manager Dana Brown. For now, owner Jim Crane will oversee baseball operations on an interim basis. The Astros are expected to search for a new GM during the offseason. MLB Network's Jon Morosi has identified one name for Astros fans to familiarize themselves with. The former Major League infielder currently works for the Los Angeles Dodgers. "As the Astros begin their search for a new GM, former @MLB infielder Will Rhymes is one name to watch," Morosi wrote on X.
