Eurowind Energy reportedly planning EUR 450 mln large-scale wind farm in northeastern Romania

06 August 2026 Danish energy giant Eurowind Energy is reportedly preparing an investment of approximately EUR 450 million in a large-scale wind farm in Iași County, eastern Romania, according to local publication Apix.ro. The project concerns a park located in Movileni commune, currently in the final stage of permitting. The investment will be carried out through Wind Asset, which already holds the technical connection approval to the National Energy System, obtained in August 2025. According to the documentation reviewed by Apix, the project includes the installation of 40 Vestas wind turbines, connected through an underground network of approximately 32 kilometers.
