European renewable energy company Aukera receives EUR 48.5 mln financing for BEES project in Romania

21 July 2026 Aukera, the pan-European battery energy storage and renewable energy platform backed by AtlasInvest, Reggeborgh and Belgium's sovereign wealth fund, announced the signing of a EUR 48.5 million financing agreement with the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, for the second phase of the Gura Ialomiței Battery Energy Storage System in Romania. The financing package includes EUR 40 million in CapEx financing and an additional EUR 8.5 million VAT tranche.
