Erdogan says Turkey aims to sign energy cooperation deal with Iraq
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Turkey aimed to sign a comprehensive energy cooperation deal with Iraq as soon as possible, adding that Iraq had offered to provide the country with 1 million barrels of oil.
This comes after talks between Erdogan and Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi in Ankara took place amid concerns about global energy shortages resulting from the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
