Eight Dead After Plane Crashes In Remote Part Of Alaska

August 21, 2026 11:30 AM ET A charter plane crashed Thursday in a remote part of Alaska, killing all eight people who were on board, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement.The plane, a Cessna 441, crashed west of the Cape Newenham Long Range Radar Site Airport around 12:15 p.m. local time, according to the FAA’s statement shared on X. The plane had departed from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and was en route to Cape Newenham.
