Ecopetrol Takes Control of Brava Energia for US$521 Million

Colombia's Ecopetrol bought about 25% of Brazilian oil producer Brava Energia for R$2.67 billion (US$521 million) at auction on 5 August, taking it to 51% of the voting capital. Settlement is set for 17 August.
