DWP PIP reassessments get tougher but in line to be scrapped for some

But the Timms Review could see unnecessary reassessments scrapped completely for people.The successful rate of PIP assessments has fallen, DWP statistics show. In the three months to April 2026, under 45 per cent of new claims where an assessment had been completed received an awardm marking a decrease from 50 per cent in April 2025.Overall, for all new PIP claims the success rate is 37 per cent, a decrease from 43 per cent in April 2025.
