NewsCost Of LivingDWPThe change has been confirmed12:56, 08 Jul 2026The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has confirmed a rule change for Personal Independence Payment, Carer's Allowance, Attendance Allowance and Disability Living Allowance claimants from England who are moving north of the border.The DWP has devolved AA and DLA to Social Security Scotland in Scotland, with claimants given new rules. The DWP said: "Attendance Allowance customers who move permanently from England or Wales to Scotland now need to make a new claim to the Scottish benefit, Pension Age Disability Payment (PADP). DLA customers who move permanently from England or Wales to Scotland now need to contact Social Security Scotland to discuss entitlement to Scottish Adult Disability Living Allowance (SADLA).”Und
