DWP confirms rule change for Pension Credit with future claimants warned
Pension Credit is also being shaken up.08:30, 10 Jul 2026The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) state pension age increase will affect Pension Credit too, the DWP has confiremed. As well as the state pension age rising to age 67, Pension Credit is also being shaken up.The DWP says Pension Credit is aligned with the state pension age - and “means it is rising in line with the increase in State Pension age and is currently 66 plus a specified number of months, depending on an individual’s birthday.”The DWP said: "The Pensions Act 2014 brought the increase in the State Pension age from 66 to 67 forward by eight years.
