DWP confirms four groups not eligible for Winter Fuel Payment

The annual, tax-free lump sum is given to people in England and Wales to help cover heating costs during the winter.‌The payment can vary between £100 and £300. The UK government has said that in order to receive the Winter Fuel Payment, you must be born on or before June 27, 1960. The advice said: "If you were born on or before 27 June 1960 you could get between £100 and £300 to help you pay your heating bills for winter 2026 to 2027. This is known as a ‘Winter Fuel Payment’."‌If you're eligible, you'll get a letter in the post in October or November which will tell you how much yo
