The DVSA has confirmed the national rollout of its ‘Photos at Test’ feature beginning on 3 August 2026.The DVSA will enable an additional 2,500 MOT garages to upload photographs of vehicles during the MOT process, helping to provide evidence that a vehicle was physically present during its inspection. It comes as the Labour Party government, under new Prime Minister Andy Burnham, looks to clamp down on the problem of so-called ghost MOTs.In January, the government - then under Sir Keir Starmer - confirmed "new measures" which would "target the growing problem of illegal number plates, including ‘ghost’ plates designed to fool camera systems".READ MORE NHS
