DVLA driving licences to be revoked from October under Andy Burnham

Under new powers from the Labour Party government, the Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) will have the power to seize licences.‌The move was previously announced by Sir Keir Starmer's government. But now Andy Burnham has succeeded Sir Keir, it will be up to the Makerfield MP to administer.‌Under the DWP powers, from October, courts can impose a driving ban where the debt is at least £1,000.
