DVAC arrests two suspects in suspected Tasmac scam

Officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) have arrested two persons in connection with the alleged multi-crore scam in Tasmac’s liquor business. In a press note, the agency said during the course of investigation, Karthik and his close associate Ramesh, of Karur district, were arrested on July 30, 2026. They were produced in a city court and remanded to judicial custody. The DVAC, however, did not explain the role of the accused persons in the scam. Published - August 01, 2026 12:26 am IST
