Dukinfield chippy fire sees road closed amidst huge emergency services response

NewsGreater Manchester NewsTamesideSeveral engines were at the scene15:15, 02 Sep 2026Updated 15:15, 02 Sep 2026A major emergency response was in place in Dukinfield this afternoon (Wednesday, September 2) after a blaze broke out at a chippy.‌Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at around midday to reports of a fire having broken out at the Church Street Chippy on Church Street.‌The road was closed as police and fire officers dealt with the blaze.
