Parameshwara on Tuesday (September 1) visited drought-hit areas of Mysuru district and interacted with farmers to assess the impact of deficient rainfall and crop loss.During his visit to Kanchugaran Koppalu village in K.R. Nagar taluk, Dr. Parameshwara sought details from farmers about crop losses caused by the rain deficit, its impact on agricultural activities and the difficulties they were facing.Officials informed him that crops, including ragi, maize and tobacco, had withered and perished at the germination stage due to the lack of rain, highlighting the severity of the drought.
