Hundreds are feared dead in NepalPress Association and Benjamin Blosse06:08, 27 Aug 2026Rescuers are searching for dozens of British nationals who are among those missing and feared dead in Nepal after devastating flash floods killed more than 160 people.‌Nepal Police said on Thursday morning that 162 bodies had been recovered following flooding in the Rasuwa region of Nepal, which borders China’s autonomous region of Tibet.‌On Thursday morning, Nepal’s disaster agency has said 823 people remain out of contact on Thursday, the Guardian reports. The 823 include at least 579 tourists, both Nepali and foreigners.
