Donnelly departs Tyrone Minor setup

Gerard Donnelly has stepped down as Tyrone Minor football manager after guiding the county through a gloriously successful six-year spell.The Stewartstown Harps clubman reached the pinnacle by winning the All-Ireland MFC title last year, as well as four Ulster crowns.Under his tenure, the Red Hands reached three All-Ireland finals, including this year’s decider.Tyrone hadn’t won an Ulster title in nine years prior to Donnelly’s appointment for the 2021 season, and there was immediate provincial success, with his team going all the way to the All-Ireland final, losing narrowly to Meath at Croke Park.“I sorta knew this year was going to be the last.
