Dominic Monaghan to Join ‘Lord of the Rings’ 25th Anniversary Reunion With Elijah Wood, More at CCXP

Frodo and Merry are plotting new adventures to honor the 25th anniversary of the Lord of the Rings film franchise. Dominic Monaghan is the second confirmed guest for the forthcoming CCXP26 fan event that takes place later this year in São Paulo, Brazil, following the previous announcement that Elijah Wood, aka Frodo Baggins himself, will attend. With the theme of “Fellowship Forever,” this year’s CCXP is held Dec. 3-6, and its full lineup will be announced soon. Monaghan made his feature acting debut as Meriadoc “Merry” Brandybuck in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, which was released in theaters Dec. 19, 2001, and also starred Ian McKellen, Liv Tyler, Viggo Mortensen, Sean Astin, Cate Blanchett and Orlando Bloom.
