Dog stranded on Lake District mountain finally rescued after three weeks
Teddy managed to survive on his own for weeks (Picture: Keswick Mountain Rescue Team / SWNS) A dog stranded for nearly three weeks on a mountain in the Lake District has finally been rescued. Teddy went missing on August 2 after disappearing on Helvellyn – the third-highest peak in England, On August 21, volunteers were out searching for him when they heard barking coming from Dry Gill, a steep ravine on the slopes of the mountain. They found Teddy but he was stuck, so the Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were called to help. Three hours later, Teddy was rescued and miraculously had no obvious injuries, though he had lost a considerable amount of weight.
