Dodgers acquire right-handed pitcher in post-deadline trade with Blue Jays

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays have made a trade. Major League Baseball's trade deadline was August 3, but trades of minor leaguers are still allowed. Today, the Dodgers announced that they've acquired right-hander Sebastian Rodriguez from the Blue Jays in exchange for fellow righty Jose Rodriguez. The second-listed Rodriguez signed with the Dodgers as an international free agent from Mexico in 2019. The 25-year-old has reached as high as Triple-A in the minors, posting a 4.71 ERA with 27 strikeouts and 33 hits in 33 appearances out of Triple-A Oklahoma City's bullpen.
