Disney’s Live-Action ‘Tangled’ Sets 2028 Release Date: Everything We Know

Disney’s live-action Tangled is officially happening — and we finally know when Rapunzel will be letting down her hair. The studio announced a March 31, 2028 release date for the remake Friday during the Disney Entertainment Showcase at the D23 fan event in Anaheim. Fans in attendance also got a first look at footage from the movie. Teagan Croft will play Rapunzel, with Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider. The story sticks with the basic setup of the 2010 animated hit, following the princess after she spends years locked away in a secluded tower because of her magically long hair.
