Discharge from reservoirs in Maharashtra decreases slightly
Due to reduced rainfall in parts of Maharashtra, discharge from its reservoirs was slightly decreased on Tuesday. Irrigation officers said that the discharge was likely to decrease.The discharge was around 1,29,304 cusecs. This was around 3,777 cusecs less than that of Monday.The outflow from Almatti dam remained high at around 1.5 lakh cusecs. Average inflow was 1.4 lakh cusecs. The dam has around 93.5 tmcft of water against the full capacity of 123 tmcft.Inflow to the Raja Lakhamagouda dam was 21,825 cusecs. Outflow was 1,765 cusecs. It has around 38.1 tmcft of water against the full capacity of 51 tmcft.The Renuka sagar dam on the Malaprabha had around 14.16 tmcft of water.
