Dengue claims 3 more lives as 534 hospitalised in 24 hours

Bangladesh’s death toll rises to 50 this year 1 MIN(s) ago UPDATED 1 MIN(s) ago Star Online Report Visual: Shaikh Sultana Jahan Badhon At least three dengue patients died and 534 others were hospitalised across the country in the 24 hours until 8:00am today, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).Among the latest deaths, one each was reported from Dhaka South City Corporation, Barishal Division, and Mymensingh Division.With the latest figures, the total number of dengue-related deaths this year has risen to 50, while the cumulative number of cases has reached 14,690.Currently, 1,188 dengue patients are receiving treatment at hospitals across the country, according to DGHS data.
