Delhi Jal Board case: Satyendar Jain, four others sent to 14-day judicial custody

The case relates to alleged irregularities in the tendering process for the augmentation and upgradation of sewage treatment plants (STPs) under the DJB.NEW DELHI: Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday remanded former Delhi minister and AAP leader Satyendar Jain and four other accused to 14-day judicial custody in connection with an alleged corruption case involving the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).The court also remanded accused Ankit Shrivastava to two-day police custody. The bail applications in the case have been listed for hearing on August 25, while the court issued notices on the bail pleas.The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) had produced Jain and the other accused before the court after arresting them in connection with an FIR registered on May 11, 2024.
