NewsGreater Manchester NewsTraffordSome feel the scheme is 'excessive' and 'unjustified'17:20, 07 Jul 2026Trafford council is set to rule on a plan that could see 251 apartments built in Stretford.The block, ranging from four to 10 storeys in height, would be located next to the multi-storey carpark in the town centre on land currently occupied by the former Stretford Mall. It would be the first phase of housing to be approved as part of the wider regeneration of the area.Some 120 one-bed and 115-two bed flats would be delivered, along with 16 three-bed duplexes – a slight increase on the 248 homes originally planned for the site.
