Daily homicide rate drops to 11-year low: Tuesday’s mañanera recapped

National Public Security System chief Marcela Figueroa reported that there was an average of 45.4 homicides per day in Mexico in June, and an average of 49.7 homicides per day in the first six months of 2026 — a rate not seen since 2015.
