Cyberabad municipal corporation processes 783 kg of religious waste under ‘Divine Waste Drive’

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has processed 783 kg of 'religious waste' under its ‘Divine Waste Drive’, an initiative aimed at promoting eco-friendly management of devotional materials through responsible collection, dismantling, segregation and recycling.The campaign was undertaken to ensure that religious waste, including idols, photo frames and other sacred materials, was handled with dignity while preventing those from ending up in landfills. The initiative seeks to balance respect for religious traditions with environmental sustainability by promoting scientific and eco-friendly disposal practices.The total 783 kg of divine waste was collected and processed across five locations in the CMC limits.
